Salford Lads and girls trip

       On Saturday 25th May a party of lads club members set off for the clubs 108th camp to Aberystwyth. The first camp in 1904 was at Llanddulas in Wales and the club camps have taken place in many different locations including, Bridlington on the Yorkshire Coast, Ramsey on the Isle of Man, Kettleshulme in Derbyshire and Hoylake on the Wirral. Youth Activity Day

What a great day lots of hard work and planning went into the day in such a short time. We tried to showcase what the alliance has done for youth activity and Sparky over the last year with regards to what sessions we have put on for the young people but also supporting the sessions with providing sports coach volunteers to assist staff in delivery too. Successful Sports Leaders award

  Our volunteers did really well on their Sports Leaders award and passed with flying colours!! Designed with today's education landscape in mind, the course was delivered by the RIO Ferdinand Foundation for 3 days and all aspiring coaches learned the fundamentals of sports coaching and passed the fully accredited qualification. Christmas Event

Salford Youth Alliance volunteers supported the annual Christmas Festival at Clarendon Leisure Centre in partnership with the SAYO/SPARKY Project. Over 300 people attended the event from the local community. The event had an excellent festive atmosphere with some fantastic low cost activities for the whole family to enjoy.    (more…)...

Volunteer Journey

Today our media volunteer Rhys Blanchard caught up with Salford Youth Alliance's first Volunteer Lewis Gregory. Lewis sat down with Rhys to answer some questions about the journey he has been on with the Project. Through Salford Youth Alliance Lewis has contributed over 50 hours of volunteering to his local community and also gained a National Pool Lifeguard qualification, Dodgeball Level 2 and a handling conflict well qualification.
