The Heart of Salford Awards are Salford CVS and Volunteer Centre's prestigious annual ceremony to celebrate volunteering and voluntary action. This year 3 volunteers from Salford Youth Alliance were nominated for the Young Volunteer Award. Joshua Buckley-Ambler, Sasha Carter and Taylor McElroy were the 3 nominees in this category. Individual achievements were announced to the delegates who voted Joshua Buckley-Ambler the winner. What a fantastic day it was considering the weather and how bad that was, all the staff and volunteers pulled together and put on the biggest and best witches walk yet!!! What a fantastic event for Salford Youth Alliance to be part of!! Salford Community Leisure's Halloween Walk sold over 3,000 tickets and despite the poor weather was a great success. Over 20 volunteers supported the event on the day taking part in a range of different volunteering opportunities which included acting, stewarding and event management.
