Volunteer Journey

Today our media volunteer Rhys Blanchard caught up with Salford Youth Alliance's first Volunteer Lewis Gregory. Lewis sat down with Rhys to answer some questions about the journey he has been on with the Project. Through Salford Youth Alliance Lewis has contributed over 50 hours of volunteering to his local community and also gained a National Pool Lifeguard qualification, Dodgeball Level 2 and a handling conflict well qualification. Partnership with Build Salford

Build Salford, a collection of social housing providers, education providers, construction firms and Salford City Council, are holding a recruitment event on Wednesday, 5 April at Salford City College, where young people interested in working in the industry can attend. The 16-week course, which will commence late April, gives access to substantial work experience, classes and tutorials, delivered by industry experts, and practical hands on training to acquire new skills.
